We have had little Quiz now for 2 1/2 weeks. Along with him and his puppy pack came the free 4 week insurance that had already been completed in my name and sent off etc.
Quiz went to the vets last Monday and was kept in due to severe runs and the litle mite was slightly dehydrated. I was allowed to bring him home that night and back again the next morning for a check over and another anti-biotic jab.
I phoned the insurance company and asked for a claim form - they said they would send one out. Nothing arrived. So I phoned again on Friday, very sorry they said - we will send another one out to you.
An envelope popped through the door this morning from the pet insurers - but not a claim form in sight - just a reminder that I need to fill in the form to continue my insurance !!!!
Not a hope - I paid out almost £200 for Quiz last week - if they cant be bothered to send me a claim form they can stuff their business !! I think it's outrageous - any ideas anyone?

Threaten them with the
Insurance Ombudsman if they don't pull their finger out. Which company is it?
It's Petplan. I have a certificate that says owners copy, with my name and address on. It was completed the day Quiz was taken to the vet by the breeder for his 1st jab and check over before he came to us. When I phoned both times, no-one at Petplan said anything about any problem - and they confirmed my address.
Thanks for the tip about the ombudsman - I have just read the fine print and it does say how to complain - so if I dont hear anything by the end of the week then I will.

If you are with pet plan you can download claim forms off their site!
I have been with them over a number of years and not had any problems over the claims I have made.

HI jane dee
have you read the paperwork that came
with him?
maybe you had to send something off aswell,
I think when we bought a pup many years ago...
the OH had to send something off to activate the
insurance not quite sure and he's not here to ask.
somebody will read this soon and give you the right info
soon, im sure. hope litte quiz is recovering :-)

If it's Petplan fight them for every penny. I'm still fighting them over the cost of DAP - it's still with the Ombudsman... grrr...
They are a complete rip off - go with M&S.
I have finally received the claim form and sadly have also had to sign up with them - it turns out Quiz has Campylobacter - he has been back and forth over past 2 weeks and we are into over £300 at the moment - his cover ran out of Friday ; if I had taken him to my own insurers they would have excluded that so will have to stay with petplan until this is sorted out - I supoose the good news is that I get first 2 months free and hopefully it will be all sorted by then so can cancel and change !
