Well, I took the boys for their lunchtime walk today, Fagan was on the flexi as he still has stitches, and Alfie was off lead.  He had only been off the lead for a couple of minutes before he sent up a group of pheasants and went off after them (which is the norm - no one told him he is only supposed to point :rolleyes: ) he usually comes back when he loses them but he didnt, so I whistled, and whistled, and shouted, and shouted and whilstled a bit more but he was no where to be seen :(  It is mostly open fields where I walk so I could see for quite a way but no Alf :( He had done either one of two things, been stolen :(, or ventured into the pheasant rearing woods   I was in tears by now and I bumped into a lovely lady walking two dogs who went off one way and I went the other.  He was missing for about 15 minutes when I got a phone call from my neighbour saying Alfie was outside my house, the relief was unreal.  I went and found the lady who was helping and told her and ran home in my wellies (hard work :( ) and the little fella was so pleased to see me, I bet he was really scared.  He had to cross two roads, thankfully not busy ones, to get home.  I think what happened was he went off after the pheasant and forgot where we had been walking (the usually field had been ploughed so we were in the field the otherside of the footpath) he got scared and ran home. 

Im definitely going to get them both tatooed now just so they have a visible deterrant from thieves :(
