Dear Sir or Madam,
I wonder if you can help me? I have an English Pit Bull Terrier bitch, about 4 years old. The papers for her have been lost. The only thing I can remember about them are the names Diablo and Firecracker, and I think one of them was some kind of champion. I have tried to trace the man I bought her from, but he has moved back to England. She is a brindle bitch with four white paws, white chest front and a white line down the middle of her face (see photo’s below) . This is not enough information for the Kennel Club to instigate a search, so if any of your friends, members or associates could help I would be very grateful. If you could post this letter on any notice board it would also be very much appreciated.

Yours Sincerely
John Halligan

Do you really mean a Pit Bull Terrier? the Kennel Club do not recognise Pit Bulls. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are the breed that Pit Bulls were developed from, crossed with other breeds. The SBT is recognised by the KC. Aren't there special restrictions placed on Pit Bulls under the Dangerous Dogs Act?

I could not quite understand this post either WL. There's no such thing as an English Pit Bull Terrier!

If you are in UK then you cannot have a Pit Bull of that age, not leagally at any rate. when the Dangerous Dogs Act was Introduced in 1991 all Pit Bulls had to be neutered, Microchipped, Tattoed, and ordered to wear a Muzzle when in Public, and to be kept on a lead at all times.

So the youngest Pit bulls around should be over 10 years old!!!!
