So how do you teach your dogs to stay?  We've had no problems with Ossie who has a rock solid stay in whatever position you put him in but Eb is another story.  She really does seem to have ants in her pants and despite trying with her I can never get her to stay in one position anywhere for more than about 30 seconds or so.  I clicker train so have tried reinfocing the stay with that but she still breaks it.

Any ideas?

I would be elated if our pup could 'stay' for 30 seconds. I'm just aiming for about 15 - eventually!

I'd start with just a few seconds, and build from that.  Watch the dogs body language to reinforce the command at the right moment (before they move) and don't use their name, as they may think they are being recalled and get confused :(
