Topic Dog Boards / Health / Dog food that doesn't contain rice

I have recently discovered that my dog has quite a number of food allergies and the only suitable food that has been recommended to me by my vet are Hills and Royal Canin. I am anxious to find a food that is not tested on animals but am struggling due to the types of allergies my dog has and wonder if you can help or know of anyone who can! My dog has allergies to turkey, wheat, barley, rice, potatoe and corn/maize. He currently on a diet made up of capelin and tapioca.

Thanking you in anticipation

There are few commercial foods that do not contain grain of one sort or another.  If your dog is doing well on tapioca and capelin I would leave it on it.

The other alternatives are home cooked food or the raw diet, that way you can control everything your dog consumes and need give no grains at all.
