My poor babies are terrified tonight, we seem to have a very big community round here celebrating Diwali. :(
My Collie is the worst. he gets very scared!
I have him on Dorwest herbs Valerian and Scullcap at the mo to help. And have ordered the Valerian liquid too which I shud have in a couple of days. (Bach rescue Remedy doesnt do anything for him)
I have  DAP plugged in too - trying to stop him from getting so frightened.
But fireworks go off as early as 5pm here and go on well past 11pm? they have been goin for a week now, so now fireworks night/diwali seems to go on for two weeks! :(
Is there anything else i can try?

Just found out myself tonight that Molly doesn't like them neither. It will be her first bonfire night, she's one in december, and although theres only a few going off, its obviouse she is gonna be terrified come the weekend :( Maddie was ok last year and hasn't battered an eyelid so far. I tried bachs rescue on molly before and it didn't work so I guess I will just have to make sure the radio and tv is on loud enough and take her into the front room where we can act as normal as possible and ignore her , hopefully :(

We foudn last night our old boy (11) has now become scared of them.  We took them al for their walk (never had a problem in the past with any of our dogs) but you old boy heard one, jumped and wasn't happy and kept trying to pull away from the houses into the road (main road :( )

Touch wood non of the others are having a problem :)

If you are going out: Leave your pups in a smaller room, with home comforts they are used to. It would be great also if you had a small music player/radio. Which could cover the noise. Give them bones, or KONGs with treats in. Think of things that they could be entertained with.
If your staying in: Snuggle up on the sofa and watch TV all night! That should do it!

Good Luck and I hope this has helped.
Claire.
