Well some of you may remember I posted about Baileys re-occuring ear infections and after getting him referred to a vet specialising in ears he recommended surgery which after much consideration we went ahead with.

Have to admit it was pretty grusome and the smell from his poor little stitched ears was absolutely hideous for a few weeks but we went back last week for his check up (4 weeks after surgery) and the vet was very pleased with the way they had healed and said that becuase Baileys ear canals were so thickened he will actually have improved hearing.  Also as the part of his ear that was getting infected all the time now doesn't exist that should be the end of his ear infections.

After a year of grief and pain for the poor boy he is now on top of the world and has reverted to being a livewire again and chasing Dutch around the house! 

So all in all a very good job was done and I am so relieved it all went well and has obviously cured the pain he was in.
