If you were in part ownership with a pup does anyone know if you can add you affix on the end once the transfer has been completed?  Apparantly I've heard that you can't  (due to part ownership) but not sure if this advice is true or not.

You cannot add your affix on to a puppy's name if it is in joint names. It would have to be tranferred solely into your name, add you affix and then transferred back into joint names as your affix is owned by you. The other party would obviously have to agree to this.

As far as I know you can't unless both you & the other part owner also own the affix. If Mrs A  & Mrs B own a dog in partnership and Mrs A wants to use her affix, she can't unless the dog is first transferred into her sole ownership, the affix added & the dog then transferred back into joint ownership. It's because Mrs A owns the affix & a dog owned by Mrs A & Mrs B isn't owned by Mrs A (if you see what I mean!!)
