I am suppossed to be going to Treherbert and district canine society open show tomorrow? Is anyone going or could someone tell me where the venue is or how to get there????

Thanx for helping and replying, i have been trying that number all day and it is engaged.....I am silly really but being new to shows i thought i would have had info in the post, but since its an open show i dont get passes or info..?? Ive been searching and panicing lol

Are you sure it's tomorrow there's no show in the KC diary for them tomorrow

Are you sure its not next month? The show for next year is in November.
Anyway if it helps that show next year is at Rhondda sports centre perhaps give them a ring to see if its booked for this month?

THANKYOU, THANKYOU THANKYOU ALL! Phew now i can breath a sigh of relief, what would i do without you? Yes it is tomorrow and its at Rhondda sports centre, i just called them. Now we just got to get there??? And then probably show ourselves up silly. Wish us luck its our first open show.

Sorry haven't had a chance to get near the computer before now!!  damn family :rolleyes:  they always want feeding on a sunday!! :D

No, I was at a show yesterday so didn't want to do 2 shows in 1 weekend ;)

Well all went ok in the end.....i was nervous though being our first show. We entered open Ridgeback as there was no puppy class and she got 1ST and BOB... However we were the only one in the class so was a little dissapointing and she wasnt happy about the judge being a man touching her, something we have to work on. People there told me to withdraw from the second class we entered which was AV HOUND puppy and to go for group, but i decided to go for av puppy anyways as didnt want to come away deflated. I was glad we did as we did much better in that class, i felt a little better and Lexy did too and she got a 3rd out of 6. I was so proud of her. We have a champ show in dec so ive entered lots of opens for practice before then. She will be fine, its me that needs it, i was shaking like a leaf.

Well done It's nervewracking that first step into the ring & every class is good practice for you as well as your dog ;)

Maybe some Rescue Remedy for you next time :D or just the brandy ;)

I still remember my first show & was only a nipper way back in the 50's :D

Well done! :)  don't worry about being the only one in the class, you'll find more RRs at other open shows :)  

MM's right about the rescue remedy, it's brilliant, I give it to dogs that are a bit nervous and take it myself if I feel 'strung up' 
When I first started showing I used to shake like a leaf and couldn't remember anything - even my dogs name Rescue Remedy helped a lot!
