Keith came home on the train last night complete with wild baby rabbit that was rescued from a cat and 2 dobes!
It's so cute and really quite docile, it has eaten plenty of grass and had some cornflakes for breakfast (didn't have any rabbit food).
I am amazed it hasn't died of shock, it has a wound at the side of its neck where the cat had it, but that is healing nicely.
We are going away this weekend with friends in a caravan, so are taking lucky with us in a cockatiel cage!!
Bound to get some strange looks, but what the hell.
I'll let you know how he/she gets on (havn't sexed it yet)
Shadow was rather interested in the bunny and thought it was a cuddly toy at first.
I'll have to keep an eye on him!

Good luck with the rabbit. It sounds a very resilient little thing. How did your husband transport it on the train ? Don't think a rabbit in a cockateil cage is very odd - we once took a cat to the vets in a budgie cage. Caused great amusement. :) Enjoy your weekend.
PS we took the budgie out first.

I'm amazed it didn't die of shock too, but I don't think it will now, especially as it's eating and drinkink. Good luck

Good luck with Bun. My SIL reared a baby her hubby round at the side of the road being attacked by Magpies - they'd pecked one eye out so it was micnamd Popeye - and lived to a ripe old age with her domestic bunnies :-)
