I have just got back a lovely liver puppy which I intend to keep as he has had a bit of a rough time.  He is lovely natured very friendly if a little amorous but I wonder if anyone has any advice on introducing him to Thomas the git!  Not known for his love of the male of the species especially male liver dogs as he was jumped by one as a puppy.  He has been accepted really well by all the girls but we have had a small trial with Tom and he growled a lot and to be honest we didnt let him of the lead just in case.

I have considered doing the chemical castration to see if that will help as I dont want to use Tom at stud again but do want to show him so dont want his bits totally chopped.

Any suggestions as I really want to keep the liver puppy but obviously Tom was here first and life without my Thomas no matter how bigger git he is would not be the same. :(

He will be guarding his territory and often males are a bit more on edge when on a lead. My boy growls at boys on lead but off he is fine and just plays. Try them in a safe enviroment that is uncommon ground for them both.
