I have just recently had my KCS put to sleep, aged 6 years, through its heart condition becoming worse.   We nursed the dog for 5 months with constant care.   It broke our heart when it was put to sleep.
I am now looking to find a good, reputable breeder near to Formby, Nr. Southport who breeds CKCSs.   I am interested in a Ruby coloured dog.   I would like its parents to have a heart check certificate and also grandparents of a good age.
If anybody could help It would be most appreciated.
If required I can give any breeder the name of my vet who undertook the problems our dog had and can also give proof regarding our care for so many months

Look on the Cavalier club site http://www.thecavalierclub.co.uk/ which will have contacts for the puppy registers. Puppies should have parents and hopefully grandparents tested clear for hearts, eyes and SM, though that last is almost impossible as it is a widespread problem. Good luck! :-)
