Hello , was just looking for some advice. A friend of mine is wanting to buy a Poodle puppy as she now works from home and has the time to commit to bringing up a puppy. But she has found a website called Paws for Pups which has a quite a few different breeds for sale including Poodles and wants to buy from them. Im a bit weary of this and am trying hard to put her off - do you think im right to do this and does anyone here know where she could find a reputable breeder as im worried the above are not.
Please can anyone offer some help , thank you

She should make sure she sees the litter with their mother before she even considers buying one.

If anyone's willing to sell her a puppy without meeting her then they're not to be trusted.

I would be much happier if my friend found a puppy through one of the breed clubs! :(

I find two things disturbing (1) that they are in Wales - I know that there are a lot of reputable breeders who live in Wales, but they are happy to advertise their names and (2) that they deliver!

"Long barge pole" and "do not touch with" are terms that come to my mind!

Also, being the cynical old biddy that I am, I question the reasons why Guest should post the name of the website............

PUPPY FARM ALERT! Stop her if you possibly can. Anybody boasting of 11 different breeds is not a reputable place to buy a puppy from. Notice there are no puppy photos on that site, no details of the parents, no breed information - nothing only only a big advert full of nice soothing words that sound nice.

NO reputable breeder will deliver puppies to somebody they have not at least met once. The conclusion I come to, being cynical like I am is that these people do not want puppy buyers to visit as they are either a puppy farm or brokers for a puppy farm.

Here are a couple of website to give your friend food for thought:
