We have just got a year old Great Dane. He hasnt been treated very well and he is so skinny his ribs are showing. We have other dogs and he gets on fine with them although occasionally has a spat with my other boy but no injuries. I am very wary of letting him near other people and other dogs so i tend to let him run loose only in a fenced and gated garden. He was nervous when we first got him and was easily spooked, his confidence has increased bigtime and is very curious to meet people and other dogs but as im not sure if he will go for anyone then i tend to keep him back and ask people to approach carefully. He is a very playful and loving boy in general and i think his barking is only a nervous reaction. Any advice on how to progress without muzzling him?
