Hi
I am not saying that you shouldn't be looking for a specific colour pup but please be careful that you make sure the pups  are KC reg(no other 'mickey mouse registration') and that both have passed all neccessary health tests and that you see the paperwork.A check from the vet is not sufficient.
Good luck

Hi,

Contact The Golden Retriever Club, they will have a list of excellent breeders who will possibly have litters.

Do as much homework about the breed as you can make sure the sire and dam of potential puppy is hipscored and eye tested and they are of excellent temperament.
You may have to wait  a few months with a particular breeder for the right puppy which is no bad thing ,try and speak to several breeders (you can search for breeders on this site) and visit if possible to meet them and their dogs even if they haven't got a litter at the moment ,most breeders will only be too happy too show you their dogs and then you could perhaps   then ask for a puppy from their next litter that is planned or could be lucky and they have a planned litter soon .

Also expect to travel for the right puppy .
Good luck excellent choice of breed :-)

Briony :-)
