
salukis should look thin....... BUT...
There is a difference between looking thinner than most dogs and being TOO thin.
You shoujld be able to see the pin bones (hips), the last three vertabrae, and last three or four ribs.
That IS all.. your dog needs to be lean and fit and hard, and if taking a LOT of exercise, he will burn off a lot of food, they may be skinny dogs but they can eat a LOT.
If your dog looks like my description above, BUT doesnt have plenty of hard muscle, feed him up and up the exercise levels to match.. lots of brisk road walking, up and down hills as well as free running.
