Hi

I need some advice please.  I have been looking into getting a puppy and am considering a border terrier but am unsure whether this breed of dog will suit my lifestyle.

I live with my partner in a 3 bed house with a medium sized garden.  We both work and wonder whether this will be fair on a dog.  The dog will not be on its own all the time but 3 days a week we will be working full time. 

We both are prepared to take the dog on walks before and after work on these 3 days and obviously spend lots of time with it in the evenings.  The other 4 days one of us is at home.  

I have been looking at the border terrier for a few months and have fallen in love with the breed. I would love to find a puppy ready for the beginning of december as i have booked this and the seasonal period off work,  would this be enough time to housetrain a dog?

I would appreciate any opinions anyone has as I would love to have a border terrier but not if it would be unhappy !
