My 2 yr old golden retriever gets very smelly breath if she gets hot or excited. She pants a lot and drinks masses of water. Her breath takes on more of a chemical smell which is really strong. Could this be a sign of an undiscovered problem or is this normal? Her teeth aren't bad and she eats burns dried food.

what kind of chemical smell is it?? does it smell of pear drops??
I don't really know how to describe it to be honest. What would it mean if it smells like pear drops? (Never smelt pear drops!)

Does it smell a bit like nail polish remover? Breath and/or urine smelling like that is an indicator of diabetes.
