as you all know, we're expecting our little rottie girl to come home soon, and so far, i've not actually bought a book about rotties, just browsed through them in the shops, and got all of my info off the net. if there are any rottie owners, who could suggest a book i could buy, then please let me know.
thanks in advance,
Kully

Have you tried looking on breeders of Rottie sites? That's where I found books on the GSD from- they were listed under one of the sites. To buy them all would have cost me £150 to £200 though so I asked my breeder which one's she recommends and she actually said the best book is 'The Book of the Bitch' not specific to GSD's or Rotties though but since you're having a bitch- it might be worth a look- I've not actually got the book yet as I've had to order it from WHS- so I can't say whether I think it's good or not? My breeder's actually letting me have a look at her books next time I go up- so then I can pick one or two that I like- not buying all at once- she'll have loads she's been active within the breed since 1971!

Hi
I am off to see your little puppy tomorrow would you like me to take some pics of them????...................... nah bet you wouldnt :-)
Best book I own on rotties is called The Ultimate Rottweiler
by Andrew Brace bit expensive at £25 but it will last you a lifetime as far as info and I do know the pups relatives are in it :-)
Let me know if you want a pick of the monster.

The Ultimate Rottweiler book will last a lifetime if you don't live with Lottie the Rottie who found mine on the arm of the sofa and ate it. So that's what she thinks of Andrew Brace!!!! :D :D :D

Do you have a library nearby where you could check them out & peruse at your leisure? Just a thought, since mine saves me so much money :D :D
toodles

The library run a scheme, where they will order a book for a small charge.

Another good Rotti book is 'Rottweilers - An Owner's Companion' by Les Price (Jagen). I bought this from what was PetSmart when I was choosing between a Rotti or an Australian Shepherd. It cost £16.99.

Hi Kully
I agree with Mattie. The book by Mary McPhail is fantastic! It was recommended by my breeder (I have only had my Rottie girl for 2 weeks!) and it's been very heplful! Good luck with your Rottie!
