Topic Dog Boards / Health / Eye infection - Bullterrier

My English Bullterrier has contracted an eye infection for the second time in 2 months. The vet cured it the first time with an antibiotic injection and eye ointment. Although very effective, of late, he has had more antibiotics than I think is good for him in the long run.
Is this a recurring Bullterrier problem and is could there be a more natural treatment.

What kind of eye infection do you mean? I wouldn't play around with the eye's and would go see a vet.... I have used polysporin for eye's for my dogs when they seemed a lil infected and if that didn't clear it up in a couple of days straight into the vet we went...

Best of luck :) I hope he gets better

I would let the vet clear up the infection and then start a daily bathing routine with a weak saline solution. Alternatively a little aloe gel on the eye daily should help.
