Topic Dog Boards / General / What's this dog toy called?
- By Natalie1212 Date 30.09.05 09:29 UTC
Hi,

I have been looking all over for a certain dog toy, it is a sphere shape, hard rubber, looks like a big knot, very colourfull, all knobbly and bumpy. Does anyone know what I am on about? LOL

If you think you might have an idea, do you know where you can get them from as well please? :D :D

Thanks!!! :D

I will have a look at PAH tomorrow then, unless anyone knows where I can get one on line?

Thanks Leanne :D

You can get those in Hawkin's Bazaar too (a kids' toy shop), I think they have a website somewhere, and they're cheaper than PAH :D

Are they chew resistant? Problem is, only Kongs are proof against my puppy (and even those are quite scratched already) and they make a loud squeaky noise as she chews that drives my OH mad. Anyone know of something really tough but also quiet to chew??

Max loves his orka jack , seems like a durable toy

Not that tough (the nobbly things, not the orka jack), my Scottie has destructed two recently :D

Once she gets one 'ring' dislodged, the rest come away soon after, and I find them spread all over my living room - and once they are seperated the objective becomes to start chewing bits of rubber off as quickly as possibly before mum comes in and removes it all.

She loves them though, I think you're okay if you have a dog that's purpose in life isn't to find out how toys are constructed by deconstructing them...

You can get them in Wilkinsons too.

I bought Coco a nobbly wobbly thing, seemed interested in it at PAH but as soon as i got it home she has never played with it also it snapped the 1st day too, personally I wouldn't bother.

Sorry only just caught up with this thread!

We looked all over the internet for one, we found a few but by the time you added the price of the post and packing on top of what they were asking for the toy, it was too expensive (for a dog's toy!!) So we nipped over to PAH at the weekend, they didn't have one so I had given up, then I went into Wilkinsons today to get some cat litter tray liners, and there was the Tough Nobbly Wobbly thing sat on a shelf, £2.99 can't go wrong with that!! I did also pick up some more toys, his crate is piled high with them now  I don't know where we are going to put them when he is here!!

Don't want to be doom and gloom but I bought one of these from PAH and my pup nearly choked on it.
Yes I was supervising and only went into the kitchen to pour a drink. When I came back he had pulled one of the tubes away and it had got stuck at the back of his throat.
Luckily managed to get my fingers in quick and pull it out.
This was only the second time he played with it. I would avoid it and invest the money in a kong or nylabone.

Hi Megan

Thanks for the warning, thank goodness your pup was OK! You must have been terrified :(

I have got loads of different kongs and nylabones, I will make sure I watch him very closely with the Tough Nobbly Wobbly. (LOL I love that name!! :D )

We haven't got a Poundstretcher, we have a few pound shops, but not that one! To be honest he has got that many toys, he probably won't even be interested in it, I was only after it, because I know the breeder has got one or two, so I thought it might remind him of home!
