can anyone shed some light on the problem please? one of my pups aged 7 weeks has developed some kind of alergy. She is completely bald on her head chest legs and a little on her back, this has happened within the last week. the rest of the litter are fine. Ive taken them to the vets and he gave them all an antibiotic jab some tables to give them and some seleen shapoo to wash them in, this was monday. he took some scrapping sto look at which were negetive , i have changed my washing powder in case it was that and rewashed all their bedding and toys in fairy. She is not ill at all just looks terrible like a little black bat. the problem i have is she is due to go to her new home next week, but i cant let her go until her hair has grown back, does anyone know what this can be. She is being fed on puppy tinned chum, JWB and goats milk watered down.

I can't help with the allergy - your vet seems to be covering that okay - but I was wondering why you're diluting the goat's milk?

Cow's milk and goat's milk are high in lactose and lower in protein and fat than bitch's milk. Although supplements can be added to cow's milk and goat's milk to make them more closely approximate bitch's milk, they will still be too high in lactose, which increases the risk of diarrhoea.

At 7 weeks I'd start to get them off the milk completely.

that i why im diluting the goats milk more each day until they are completely off the milk, mum stopped feeding them at 5 weeks so i started with the goats milk, they have not had diarrhoea at all by doing this gradually
