My mate has just rung in a crisis, she has a fancy dress party to go to on Saturday but because she was hoping to get out of it she didn't bother to organise a costume - now she can't get out of it she needs ideas for an emergency costume that can be constructed from handy items around the home or easily purchased items that don't cost a fortune.
Any of you wonderous creative people have any inspirational ideas?
is there a theme?
if not puss in boots - black trousers, top and big boots, stick and knapsack add tail n ears
any 60's or 70's clothes lurking in the back of the wardrobe...
favourite actor/actress from a fav film or show
the old standby ( depending on age lol ) st trinians school girl
or a homicidal maniac..... after all they look like everyone else so you dont need a costume as such :D
I love the puss in boots idea, so easy to do!
She's 28 if that helps. Her OH keeps coming up which are really masculine and she doesn't want to look like a bloke so wants feminine ideas but she didn't seem too keen on my school girl suggestion earlier! Just texted puss in boots for her approval!
Thanks!
yeah i like P in B you can make it a bit sexy if you like by wearing a tight clingy low fronted top, high heeled boots or just play it safe with a shirt, and flat boots....
hope she enjoys the party :D

Posh French friend and her husband (not posh one bit) were invited to a fancy dress party and were stuck for ideas. Husband suggested that as they were a little on the large side and he has a beard, they could go as Brenda and Audrey (crossdressers) from the kitchen roll advert. Needless to say she was not amused and they didn't go! Made me laugh
