Sorry but i really like this programme even if i would like to see the out-takes!
I just love this program, its about time some thing like this was on the TV, it gives all those bone heads out there that think they can get results by kicking or smacking there dogs something to think about, I live on an army camp and it is a case on here who can get the biggest, butchest dog then walk it once or twice around the camp to show it of and then you never see the dog being walked again and when you enquire why they got rid of it I am told 'Oh we still have him/her its just that I cant control the dog when we are out and its not very friendly with other dogs, classic case of an unsocialised puppy, and we just let it out in the garden for a run!! Hate going round to my best friends as she has a hugh out of control boxer who only today scratched all my arm and made it bleed and when we walk our dogs together my 7month old puts him to shame in recall, leave it ect and even though I have tried to help her endlessly with training him and have lent her alot of my dog training books and information which she does not pay attention to she does watch its me or the dog and seems to be telling me how to sort out his problems now (the same advice I gave her) but I just let her get on with it now!! I will be very sad when the series ends.xx
I agree with you colette77 its a really informative programme and i'll be waiting for the next series to start x

I can't believe it.. I've missed it again, Duh...:-( was tonight's the last in the series?

I rather like it - you get the impression this woman performs quick 'miracle cures' but it's hard to get an impression of how much time it takes in a 30 minute programme. Wish she'd come and sort my squabbling boys out!! :-D

Hi there,
There have already been discussions about this and both views (liking it and not liking it) have been put forward.
I personally think it is good and is educating the general public. I wasn't impressed with this week's episode, but as a whole I think it is worthwhile for the general public.
Cheers,
Patty
P.S. Why don't you register?
Well I like it guest so you are not alone. ;)
Again from a novice point of view, I think it is good for the GP to see that even the most 'unruly' dogs can be trained, I'm not overly keen on some of her methods, but I thought this weeks was better, using her own voice to distract the dog, instead of hooters/air sprays/air horns.
I'm still not keen on her, but I think she does have a natural way with dog's, and whether or not some of you think she hasn't had enough experience, or can't be a dog trainer because she doesn't have her own dog, to me personally it doesn't seem to make that much difference to her work.
I suppose as well, the way the program is put across, as in it only taking her 5 mins to sort all of the problems out, it may well have taken a lot longer than that, but the main thing is, is that she got the dog's and their families sorted out, and at the end of the day, surely that can only be good?
I must admit, when the series first started, I was against it, the first progam seemed very much 'I am Master, you are dog' and the rest haven't been much better than that, but she has used other methods as well, which we would hope will make the GP sit up and smell the roses, and start trying to think about what messages they are sending to their own dogs.
As I said JMO :D

i havent liked it at all,but this week (with the bichon) i thought was quite good, first time shes impressed me TBH

I watched tis for the first time this week, what amazed me was how these people had this little dog and hadn't a clue how to train it....It has been left to do what it wanted....Surley before they got the dog, a book on basic training would have been a good idea....I felt sorry for the poor little thing...

That's been the message I've got from all these programmes. Nice dogs, badly mishandled. :(

I can't wait to see what she does with the Sibe. There was a little clip at the end of the show and she clearly wasn't happy with this dog (he was a stunner wasn't he).
My partner has been training dogs, positive reward, for more than 25 years but when he came up against a Sibe it was a whole new ball game with a new set of rules.

I too look forward to next week's. 'The look' the Sibe gave her gave me chills. I used to have 2 when I lived in the States, and agree that they are a different ball game. You have to know what you are doing with them. In my opinion, they are one of the most beautiful dogs.

Yes they are extremely beautiful and enigmatic. I will never forget the day I went to see a kennel of 14 or more and after a brief glance at me and my son they gazed into the distance at something far off and never gave us another look. They are truly free spirits. Not like me I am waxing lyrical, back to the thread.
I felt she did really well with the Bichon.
I am keen to see how she gets around this Sibe.
I think the Sibe one will be the most interesting, :)

My boarder collie x tibetian terrier does exactualy what the huskey was doing on that clip, jumping up high and grabing at hands, especially when there is a few people around so it will be informative for us!!!
