Do dogs drool like babies when their teeth are coming? Merlin has been chedwing at the back a lot today and he is drooling like mad and leaving big wet splodges, is this normal?

if he's teething then i would say yes thats why he's drooling, you may notice a little bit of blood mixed in from time to time when a tooth has just come out. i know i did :)

You may occaisionally get  more than a little bit of blood.  A month or so ago our GR puppy was losing teeth and number 2 and 3 daughters come running into the house really upset because "Honey has cut her mouth really badly" so I went out to check dog was quite happy playing in the garden she did have some blood round her mouth, it was coming from a hole when one of her teeth used to be!
