Have just returned from dog groomers with a spaniel who's eyes look bigger, who's ears are even longer and who's nose has become so enormous  it takes over her whole face!!
My poor little Ruby went in looking like a cuddly teddybear with a quiff and came out looking like a skinned rabbit! I have to take some of the blame, I did ask for her skirt and frills etc taking off. She's an ECS, but has never grown a typical ECS coat- she's alot more woolly and fluffy- probably more like an American- and does have a tendancy to get quite matted especially after swimming so I figured a short trim would be better all round.
Now she looks so thin and bald and all NOSE! I wouldn't say it's necessarily the groomers fault, I'm just kicking myself for not being more specific over length of coat. I was more concerned about ensuring that her ears and tail wouldn't get clipped (they're the only silky bits on her so must be preserved!) and they haven't been, so that's something.
The good news is it should last her all Winter and she has a little coat that I had to buy her after last year's  disaster.... AARGH!!!

aww bless!  never mind bunty, it will grow back at least :) as a groomer this is one thing that I always worry about - have I cut that dog too short??  I always ask the owners exactly how they want it, but I still worry!
