Hi :D
We have always read that to introduce the pup to the cat, we are to have the pup either on a lead or in his crate and let the cat see what the new thing is that is trying to eat her, ;) which is more common sence than anything else. Then when you read up on how to introduce the lead and collar, or the crate, they all say to take your time and do it slowly and teach the pup they are all good things, and that good things happen when they are on/in them, which again is common sence, but how can you slowly introduce the lead if the first thing you have to do when you bring your new pup inside is put a lead on them? Would this experience make a lead/crate scary for a puppy? Is it better to keep the cat away for a few hours until the pup's belly has settled from the journey so you can at least give a bit of reassurance with some treats whilst the pup has the lead on? Am I being a worry wart again? :D
BTW the cat is only 6 months old, so I suppose they are likely to get on OK after the initial run and thump on the pups nose - well here's hoping anyway!! :D
Thanks :)
