I went to check out a grey Tervueren that the owners wanted to come onto rescue today and left feeling so sad and frustrated :(. He was the result of an 'accident' between the owners daughter's Groenendael and Tervueren and therefore not able to be registered. He was given to the breeders mum when no home could be found and has never been on a lead, never been groomed ( his coat is a matted stinking mess

he's never been properly house trained, is confined most of the time to a concrete area about 3 ft x 8 ft and on the odd occasion that he is allowed indoors he is incredibly destructive and has chewed holes in the plaster and destroyed the kitchen units. He is 18 months old, as thin as a pin and just vibrating with pent up energy and boredom - his temperament however is absoloutly superb - the sweetest natured boy and with a bit of TLC and good feeding he will a stunning looking lad. He really needs taking back to basics and given the chance to use his energy and his brain (agility ?)
Our problem is that the only people we have on the rescue waiting list will not even consider a young male who is destructive and messes in the house - The owner is happy to keep him until we can find the right new home but I really just wanted to take him away with me. I am tempted to put him in our kennels when we move while we sort something out ( I'll have to smile sweetly to Trevor first ;). I am returning to give him a bath and groom him out but if any Belgian Shepherd folk out there know of someone who is looking for a new agility prospect and could offer this lovely boy a new chance then let me know
