I am interested in buying a sussex spaniel and are looking for a breeder in the north of England, preferably in Lancashire. Could you point me in the right direction! i would be greatful for any information you could give me.

I tried to get a Sussex spaniel back in 1999, but they were very hard to come by, I would have had to wait a year or two. I now have a sussex x cocker spaniel instead! Have you tried the Sussex Spaniel Association, they may have a puppy list - Secretary Sally Leslie. Tel No: 01933 311081.

Suggest you contact John Ellingham of Niriti Sussex spaniels. He lives in Standish Lancs tel: 01257 423700. His dog Niriti Brown Hairstreak won gundog group 4 at Crufts in 2001, and he works this dog too! He came on my shoot for many years, so I know his dogs are nice animals.
