my dog, a bsd, of 5 months drips urine. always, even after pissing he drips,
from the day he has come he is dripping.
we told the vet..he said that rubble, my dog, had UTI. unrinary tract syndrome. he got shots for five days consicutively .
but he still drips urine...
has anyone experienced this before/??
rubble doesnt urinate frequently. the vet says he will have problems and pain or a burning sensation while urinating.
but why dint it get better even after the shots? is this UTI curable? what happens if not cured.

I would assume the injections he had were antibiotics? It may be that the infection he had was deep seated or the bacteria were immune to the particulary ab used. A UTI left untreated could lead to kidney damage, so it's really important you take him back to the vet to get more treatment. If you take a sample of urine with you the vet can test it.

the vet says he's going to take a BLOOD test AND THEN DECIDE WHAT TO DO.

Either put cranberry juice [couple teasp to start off with building up to a small half glassful over a couple of weeks into his drinking water or start giving him one cranberry capsule a day, this helps with all forms of UTI's for two and four footed creatures. However it is not a cure and only helps while the dog is on it. Sometimes if the UTI is deep seated [been present for a long time, maybe even in the nest] it can take up to 6 weeks of antibiotics to get rid of it. Probably the blood work will help rule out other causes.
Good luck

Good luck, let us know what the vet decides :)
