Topic Dog Boards / Showing / GBAS - Judging question
- By LindyLou [gb] Date 23.09.05 20:08 UTC
I was talking to someone today as we were looking at the schedule for this show. My breed doesn't have CC's at this show. Our judge is also doing the Stakes classes. So, will we be judged first, or last? Do we get to be judged before CC breeds? Even though the judge isn't actually judging any other breed classes? Or do we have to wait until the end of the show when all the Stakes classes are judged? I've never had this come up before, couldn't answer the question.

Normal practice is for judging (by any one judge) to follow schedule order.  Most societies do breed classes first so that anyone wanting to go in the stakes clases can do so without fear of being beaten in the stakes then going BOB and not being able to compete in the group.

Linda,

Breed first,
Stakes second!

That way most of the breed judging has taken place so those who wish to go int the stakes are freed up.   You'll probably find we'll be scheduled after a CC breed as well.

But have you seen the stakes classes he's doing? Wonder how long we'll have to wait? It's difficult to know when to turn up. ;) Just have to wait until the judging times are in the papers.
