Hello everyone,
Hope you and all yours are well!
I just wanted to check something out with you all as I am sure others are more "in-the-know" than me!
I had my bitch spayed two weeks ago and, as part of my health routine, was checking her vulva for any signs of unusual discharge. I have noticed that, on occassions, she will have a small pin prick amount of clear, non-smelly, mucous on the tip of her vulva. Her temperature is completely normal and she is generally healthy. Having never noticed this before (although admittedly don't check her vulva nearly as frequently as this!), I also checked one of my other bitches who, surprise surprise, had the same tiny spot of clear mucous on the tip of her vulva! Is this a normal occurence in bitches?
Thanks for your time in any responses!
Don't think there's any cause for concern-as you probably know signs of infection are inflammation, swelling, redness, offensive smell, green/yellowy discharge, hot to touch.
Just keep an eye on it-probably normal.
Cheers, Liz
