I am looking to purchase a black labrador puppy.
How much should I expect to pay , What should I be looking for etc. etc.?

Hopefully one of the regulars with Labs will post soon as this is not my breed but in the meantime this link is to the main Champdogs site and the Labrador section. In this section is a breed guide which talks about the health checks Labs require and some help on how to go about purchase. There is also a list of Breeders who are registered with this site.
I am not sure of price for a Lab but I would guess it is between £400 and £500 for a Kennel Club registered pup - I'm sure someone will put me right if this price guide is way off the mark.

Hi, It depends which area you are in prices change in differing parts of the country a Price guide from £350 to £500,The best place to start is by contacting a breed club,they keep a list of breeders who are members of that club who may have pups available,also they have literature on hereditary problems in the breed and you can get that free I believe If not I have some you can email me by clicking on my name and I will give you my phone number etc.. and be pleased to advise you further.
