My Dog Ito age 10 ½ Yrs has a murmur graded 3-4 and on medication, about three times a week Ito used to pass out, for the last three months Ito has improved it only happens one or two times a month, six months ago my vet wanted to put him to sleep and I am glad I didn't knowing how well he is.
A few days ago what worried me Ito started panting I thought it was the weather being to warm but I thought I'd better get him checked out, and to find Ito had a chest infection and has emphysema too! And started a course of antibiotics for a week now Ito is well again! And now back to his normal self very active running and playing.

i have a 3 year old border collie with a grade 5 murmur, so far it hasnt affected her in the slightest, she even qualified for crufts in junior agility a couple of weekends ago! i am really pleased with how well she is doing!
we only found out about the murmur at our yearly booster check up, that was last october, a year on, she still hasnt changed, although she is booked in to be spayed in november! thats scarey!
