There is no "best" food and dry skin (scurfy) can be caused by moulting, stress, and skin infestations as well as food.

maybe continue with what she likes, but add some oil. It might be worth confirming its the feed causing the problem 1st though.

Scurfy skin can also be caused by allergies to something in the food as well as an environmental influence such as 'shake and vac' type powders. Are you sure it's the food?

Why dont you get some tests done at the vet , much safer to know what the problem is before trying to treat it . I was also wondering what you are feeding your dog . I would say a low protein diet would help , and as Sam said a bit more oil. Best wishes Mari
