How many dogs does she get to play with normally?

Remember, if you were being looked after by Martians who loved you and looked after you very well, and kept you fed and warm and clean, you'd still get excited when you saw another human, wouldn't you?

The more you socialise your dog, the less she will find other dogs and people exciting. Find a safe place where you can let her free and interact and play with other FRIENDLY dogs. I am making a big assumption here that your dog is friendly and not aggressive. The more you do this, the less likely you will end up with a problem further down the line.

If she is showing any signs of aggression towards other dogs, then you quickly need to see a behaviourist to put you on the right path and assess why your dog is displaying this behaviour. Ask your vet to refer you, as they will know which behaviourists are good, since they will have a long-standing relationship with them and will know their methods and success rates.

All the best,
Patty
