My dobe had a spot on the side of face (could have been a bite), but he had scratched it and made it bleed.  I took him to vet who gave him cream and antibiotics.  The spot seems to clear up and then he scratches it again, and of course it bleeds.  I got him a collar, but he went mental and ran upstairs and came down without it.  I thought about wrapping up  his back foot to stop him scratching it but otherwise I think I am going to try the collar again.  Any other suggestions?

Germolene? - contains local anaesthetic, so might stop him scratching it, allowing it to heal.
