Today I was a show dog, and everything went well
I met up with some friends of mine, they all looked pretty swell

Today I was a show dog, and although I wasn't picked
Both mum and dad were proud of me, so their faces got a lick

Today I was a show dog, a grand day out we had
But in the car on the way home, I started to feel sad

Today I was a show dog, tomorrow's yet to come
Will mum and dad still love me, or am I being kind of dumb

Today I was a show dog, lots of fuss was made of me
But was it all for just one day, we'll have to wait and see

Today I am a boxer, just a simple little fellow
Mum just gave me something new, it's round and coloured yellow

Today I am a boxer, I play with my new ball
Mum says it's for being good, for being me, that's all

Today I am a boxer, the cameras in dads hand
He's taking lots of pictures now, ooh quick, just watch me stand

Today I AM a show dog, my pictures that they took
Are placed all neat and tidy, in a special online book

Today I AM a show dog, they've made me famous now
Lots of things are said 'bout me the best one just said 'WOW!'

I'm proud to be a show dog, no matter what they say
And I'll always be a show dog, even when I'm old and grey.
