Won't be at the show, but will be in the area......
The roads pretty quickly become grid locked around the show site A418 and A4129 especially.

best to leave early then ? I was hoping to get there for about 8:30 :)
Yes the roads are busy around Thame normally on a working day due to commuters
add this to the largest one day agricultural show in the south and you get an idea of
the traffic in the area on this day....
It can take a long time to get into the dog show parking and then also if you leave
later than 4.30pm you'll get stuck coming off the show ground....
But other than that super day out :D
See you there and to all that are showing Best Of Luck!!
Kirstine

i will not be at the show due to my back i was up all night with it and i cannot find a comfort postion in laying or sitting only standing is a bit easyer,i am not going to run around a ring with this at the moment of to psyhio tommrow
goood luck have a nice day
went to the show today it was pouring with rain which is a shame as i would have liked to look round a bit but my dogs were with me so unable to stroll round with hairy dogs.....
Does anyone know the Flatcoat results?.....:)
I wanted to enter, but couldn't get the day off work.
Sorry didn't take them down....
However a whippet won BIS and a Bichon won RBIS...
I got 1st in Open Boxer, 3rd in AV Working Open...
(Change of judge)
and then got 1st in the AV Stakes class under the BIS judge :)
My friend got 1st Boxer puppy and then got BPIB.
Yes it did get VERY wet for a while but we dried out intime for BIS, BPIS.
I ache all over now :D

becky johnson baby girl got 1st in puppy ann younes pace got 1st in junior, ann old dog got rbob and becky old lady got bob.that the only dogs i know of.becky may be on here later to give you the full report.
ann younes email me beacuse i didnt go. beacuse of my back just cannot run the dogs well at the moment

Wasnt it wet, and my werent there some great rows around the wet weather rings between stroppy, squashed up exhibitors

:D :D
Alfie and I got third in the puppy class and then 1st in AV gundog puppy :) It was a nice show, glad I took my wellies and waterproofs though. I didnt get home until 7:40
I managed to get home for 7pm as I'd stayed to watch & support my friend with
her BP Boxer...
However I knew how long it would take me to get off the showground & the commuter
traffic too...
Well Done on your places :D
Yup as soon as the breed judging had finished I moved my girls back out to the car.
People were jamming their cages in so close in the marquees I barely had room to open the door to get
the girls out! However you would think I was asking stone people to move as when I
was trying to get my cage (large) out on the trolley, they didn't move themselves or their
dogs, until I asked again very loudly EXCUSE ME LARGE CAGE COMING THROUGH..even then
they kept talking to their friends and tutted when I asked them again as they didn't move enough
for me to get my metal cage and trolley out...perhaps next time I'll just run them over and say well
I did ask politely for you to move and you were ignorant enough to ignore it!! or shall I get some general lee
horns fitted to the trolley instead
:D
Yup very wet so much for the blasted weather reports earlier in the week that said it was going to
be warm and dry, LOL. However I have got a bit of sun (or could it be wind) burn on the front of my face, LOL.
The wind dried me out after my earlier soaking :D
Shall I go next year?? YES I'm a glutton for punishment..

well i didnt miss much then ???
Only as posted above that some people didn't come with their sense of humour
or patience. Glad I wasn't on the committee..:D
I had wet weather gear, but stupidly left the trousers in the show gear bag..
and got absolutely soaked walking the dogs to the marquee before breed judging.
:D Took nearly all day on the showground before I dried out :D
Perhaps that's why I ache so much...
Kirstine :)

We were first in our bit of marquee and held our space well, we were also last to leave (infact they started taking down the marquee around us :D :D
A lady from the committee came round taking peoples names and numbers if they didnt move it caused a right hoo haa between one couple, she was screaming at him they she wanted to go home and he was shouting back telling her to ignore the lady from the committee, I think they went home

- we just sat back and cracked open the wine ;)

It was Sasha (Downstream Revival JW) who got best of Breed and Ann's Taranbeck Phynn's Lad of Riverglide who got RBOB. Sharron's bitch won Junior (Brightstart Orflaith), Post Grad was Huntersheim Oregano. Don't ask what the places are - catalogue still drying out!
I was so wet that I was forced to remove most of my clothes to drive home comfortable - so I drove along in my knickers and teeshirt! Good thing I didn't get stopped!
Becky
