Topic Dog Boards / General / Holiday - where to go?
- By Nickyxh [gb] Date 08.09.05 12:52 UTC
Hi All,

We are new to being owned by a dog, our owner is called Kiera and she's a 14 week old black lab.  We have 3 days off work at the end of September and we'd like to go for a litle holiday somewhere - even if it's just a night, trouble is we're new to having a dog in the family and we don't know where to go.....

Any suggestions?  we live in North Notts.

Hi Nicky

We went down to Lynmouth in North Devon and stayed in a cottage - it was wonderful and very dog friendly.  Don't know if that's too far for you though - it was a fair old drive from us in London but worth it.

It was our first holiday with 2 dogs and we loved it as did they and we were shocked at how friendly the place was including being allowed on all the beaches in July!

Have a lovely time wherever you decide.

We have an AA book called ' Pet Friendly Places To Stay' and have found it really useful. It covers the whole of the UK inc. Northern Ireland.
We love Whitby and regularly go there with our two girls and stay at a 'hotel' [more like b@b] called 'The Seacliffe' which is basic but in an ace location. It's right across the road from the dog friendly beach and the views are wonderful.
