Do you also have a passion for chasing him when he's got socks?........ I wonder what he'd do if you didn't chase him, or offered to swop them for something even more rewarding (in his eyes)?

If I don't grab socks of Toby he chews them to death!

My dog collects any sock going - he picked one up the other day that smelt so bad I was surprised he hadn't passed out by the time he'd brought it downstairs! It belonged to the OH obviously!! :D
I dont have the problem of them being buried, my malamute eats them. Grabs 2 gulps and gone!
:D

My GSP loves socks smelly or clean, she has just about stopped stealing them now but when family turns up she gets sooo excited she just has to find the nearest shoe and run around. I have found her asleep with her nose inside a smelly trainer. On a serious note a Dobermann at our dog club had to have surgery to remove a sock from his stomach.

My cockers dont do this but I hear Its quite common for cockers to pinch socks ;) :P
My rottie pup does this, she takes them off my feet and runs in the garden, even though she has loads of my OH's that were going to be thrown out...
