please can anyone tell me if this is normal behavior.milly is our first dog so we are a bit green, but very recently when let of lead in the park she is getting over excited around other dogs and even trying to hump them, she also seems to be marking alot .not everyone has seen the funny side of our beautiful girl being rude with their dogs.ps she was neutered in may.
Can't actually help, but donkey's years ago we re-homed a neutered beagle, who apart from being overweight, did just that - bonked everything and anything.
Maybe a dominance thing, as some bitches will do anyhow. Or maybe she's mixed gender - be interested in the replies.
hi there i have a very randy 12yr old lab cross setter he was done years ago long time before i got him so he was hard to train but with hard work he has got the idea now and behaves himself if you amputate someones leg they still feel it. it is all in the mind good luck
My friends Golden Retriever (now 13) who was spayed before her first season has always liked to mount my bitches and scent marks over anyones pee, or where dogs have been.
Spaying a bitch can actually make them more dominant then when entire, and the humping isn't secual it is assertive, or of course if she was done very young it could be misdirected play as happens among very young pups. the marking though to be suggests the former.
