HI fee fee,

I don't sponsor a dog from the Dogs Trust, I have rehomed 2 dogs from them, The first is now nearly 4 and the second is nearly 2 1/2. I personally think they are a brilliant organization. We did visit other rehoming centres, but were not overly impressed with their facilities or the fact that they really didn't seem to care what our situation was. At the dogs Trust however the way the kennels are built and positioned is brilliant and they have a very strict questionaire to fill in before you can even look at the dogs. I would recomend them to anybody who is serious about rehoming a dog and who has the dogs best interests at heart.

I've supported Spike at Ilfracombe dogs trust for years.  I wasn't in a position to have my own dog at that time so I sponsored him.  When I got Copper I didn't have the heart to stop sponsoring Spike as he's a difficult terrier too but he hasn't been lucky enough to find a home.  I think it costs a pound a week so it's nothing.

Just signed up and chose Herbie a broken coated terrier cross, that looked like a staff with GSD ears.  I thought he might be too ugly for anyone to choose him :D

I have been the sponsor of a succession of dogs in the past few years. First one was Ben, a black collie cross (not the one on the site now), but he died of old age, then a sandy coloured retired greyhound but I can't remember his name as it was for a short time and he got adopted, the Sally the a scruffy beardie cross for a year or two till she got adopted, now I sponsor Amy a border collie cross at Merseyside.

It's nice to know that some of the sponsored dogs still can get adopted. I know a lot of the time they are the dogs who have problems and they may struggle finding a home.
