About 7 weeks ago a lady asked me to take in her 7yr old (almost 8) LA bitch "Jade", as she had just got married & her new husband already had a younger LA who did not get on with Jade. So, we took her in & found she wouldn't eat much at all, tried most brands of dog food (& a couple of varieties of cat food) but she simply would not touch it. She gradually started eating human food, little treats we would give her at mealtimes ie chicken, rice etc. However, she has now started to vomit a frothy white liquid & diahhorea frequently. Someone has suggested she may be pregnant. We are totally confused & would like to find out if anyone has any ideas. She is going to the vet on Monday but in the meantime if anyone has any idea as to what mght be wrong with her I would be grateful to hear your views.

When was she last wormed?

Hi when does she vomit, is it in the morning, or after every meal she eats?  also does she have the runs after meals or is it a runny poo when she needs to go?

She isn't eating much. She is just pooing when she likes and vomiting when she likes, nothing triggering it.

Thanks Admin, I'm not sure on the last time she was wormed. Could that be the cause?

The frothing etc. could be caused by having worms.  I would take her to the vet and get worming product from there, please don't get an over the counter one from a petshop.

Have given her some Drontal Plus Now. So I have my fingers crossed. She hasn't done any sick or Poo for sometime now. So fingers crossed.
