hi does anyone know what it could be? my dog scratches frequently she has had frontline put on at 8 weeks then at 13 weeks visited the vets who couldnt find any fleas but as a precaution put a multi flea, mite, tick and wormer on her but still seems to scratch? she is a staffordshire bull terrier called abbie who now is 14 weeks.

I'm no expert ...they'll be along in a minute ........
...but food can play a part.
what do you feed her on??????

My dogs always itch for a few weeks after a good bath , could that be the issue? Mange mites , any hair loss? If the skin isn't inflamed and there isn't any hairloss + no fleas then i wouldn't be worried unless its scabbing up and bleeding.
Try putting her on a hypoallergic food, like wafcol or james well beloved and see if her condition improves. Also get back in touch with your breeder and ask her for some advice and see if any of her dogs have skin allergies.
Warm regards Susan

Funnily enough i was just about to post about itching my two dogs are scratching all the time vet said there are no sign of fleas but put the stuff on anyway. Bailey has been on nature diet for way over a year now and hasn't had any problems there are no sores or bleeding hopefully nothing to worry about. Just makes me lousy.

>developed a rash under her chin<
What type of food bowl do you feed her out of? Plastic bowls can cause pimples/rashes on the chin area.
Eukanuba would not be my first choice of foods :( I know a few dogs who developed allergies whilst on it.
I would go with susans suggestion and put your dog on a hypoallergenic food, without all the by-products and grains that eukanuba contains.A good "wet" food to try is naturediet, you can also mix it in with dry food if you like.
How old is your dog?

I would ditch the plastic bowls for both food and water and get either metal or earthenware bowls. Bacteria and smells can also get into plastic bowls :( I'll bet the rash will disapear once you change bowls :)
