I was just wondering if anyone could give me a little advice. Part of the corner of my dogs lips has gone pink as oppose to its customary black, about 1/2 inch of pink I would say right in the back corner. Has anyone experienced this? He is just over a year old.

What breed is he?  In my breed pigment can tend to fade and if it is going to it usually does it betwen 12-18 months, if he is a pet it wont make any difference to him but it may affect him in the showring if he is a breed that looks for good pigment.

My Beardie puppy is 9m and she lost the pigment on the end of her nose about a month or so ago.
I contacted Dorwest and got elderberry and nettle supplement which I give everyday with food it definitely is working as the colour is returning but it takes 3 months .
Now that it is September you can also give seaweed kelp (shouldnt given during summer months) through the autumn and winter and it should return .
I was told that if she had good pigmentation before not to worry as it will return.

(some bitches can also loose pigmentation on the run up to season)
