Hi there, I pick up my pup tomorrow night, and I can't wait.

He is 7 weeks old, is this to young to leave the mother??? Should they be 8 weeks??

Also with the jab thing, when is the youngest they can have their first jab?

It depends on the breed and how early they were weaned.  Larger breeds can usually go earlier then the tiny ones.  About 71/2 weeks is about right if you haven't owned a dog before.

You will have to ring your vet for vaccination advice.  It depends on the type your vet uses and the manufacturers recommendations.

My breed go at 7 weeks but seeing as they are walking and playing at 17 days of age, it's not surprising really.  Most vets now vaccinate at 8 weeks but for a toy breed i don't vaccinate until they are 12 weeks.
