We would love a irish water spaniel or a Italian Spinone .We are a family of 5 ,3 children 9,6 and4 ,we live in Herne-Bay Kent right on the sea front .Ifeel my children are old enough now to respect having a pet dog .My mother has a cross spinone who is such a lovely chap and is so good with my children.I do not work and now all children are at school my time is empty and could concentrate on a puppy fully now.If any one has any info on these breeds please let me know.

contact the kennel club they will send you a list of breeders

If you go on their website and look for the breed standards (both in the Gundog section) the contact details for the breed clubs can be foudn there and the secretaries can give you the names of reputable breeders who have or more likely you may have to go on a waiting list for a litter not yet born.

They will be able to help with breed specific health information, what to expect from a good breeder re health tests and age pups can leave home etc.

the kennel club gave me a list of registered litters and i got a beautiful rottweiler out of it, but i did have to phone them and ask for it,

You can also register on the Kennel Club website (its free and easy) and then you can search for lists of registered litters on-line. It gives all contact details, DOB, sex of pups etc. This is where i eventually found my breeder. :-)
