Does anyone know why OE crashes if I try to click on a link (not spam) sent to me by e mail. I have ad aware to remove spyware and use virus checker regularly and have not found a virus.

Hi Sue

I'm not sure what is going on with your OE but the program comes with a repair tool although I've never used it.
At the top you will see file, edit, view and so on. Go to help and left click on it. Under the options you will see detect and repair.
You can have a go with this first but make sure you have the windows operating disc with you in case you need it.
I've never used this but it might sort the problem out.

It might also be worth just checking the firewall rules out just in case there is a problem there.

Hopefully someone here may have had similar problems and can help you as well.

Edited: It might also be a problem with the explorer side of windows as its trying to open an explorer window.

Not sure why its not there, could be a different version.
There are sites out there that run Outlook repair programs that fix the reg but again I've never used one and I don't know if this is where the issue is.
When my brother has a problem he uses Overclockers forum where there are lots of experienced pc tech people who nearly always solve the problem when he walks through his problems.
