Hiya,

I posted on her last week about my Springer possibly carrying a big litter fro the second time.! She has got even bigger than she was when we went the vet with her last week but she also seems to have dropped. She was mated on 01.07.05 then on 02.07.05 and again on 04.07.05. If the first was sucessfull she is 'due' on 03.09.05 (this Saturday).
Do any of you know if the fact that she is quite large, make her go into labour earlier. Last years litter came 'on time' to the day(63) but with this being her second and some of you commenting on the fact that she would be looser this time round. I am begining to wonder. Her discharge has increased over the past few days (it is clear). She has also started digging, which she did last time about a week before hand. She is very sleepy but otherwise very well.. Just very round..!!
The pups can now be seen and felt moving about and I think this is just making her feel really uncomfortable. We are going back to the vet on Monday (5th) with her if she hasnt had them and he said he will scan her then. He didnt seem any point in it on our last visit, last week, as he wouldnt have been able to tell numbers etc anyway. Can anyone offer advise.. Thanks, Tracey

I do think bigger litters come earlier or on time as there are more to push them along e.t.c
